Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about AI and gaming, eager to push the boundaries of what is possible. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing the back-end infrastructure of our AI-powered games. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to bring our game concepts to life, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and deliver an exceptional user experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement robust, scalable backend systems for AI-driven gaming applications.
• Work closely with the AI and game development teams to integrate AI technologies into our gaming platforms.
• Develop and maintain APIs for game functionality and third-party integrations.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
• Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing scalable and high-availability systems.
• Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their application in gaming is a plus.
• Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Must be fluent in Chinese Mandarin, as collaboration with our international teams will be essential.
• Must be willing and able to work onsite at our Irvine, CA office.
