Vision for the Role
We are looking for a second Product Marketing Manager to join our Product Marketing team reporting to the Sr Director, Product Marketing. In this role, you will manage the product portfolio across skincare & complexion; introducing best-in-class luxury products to the market in innovative ways and nurturing our quickly growing business to exceed financial and brand priorities.
You Will
• Partner with the Sr Director of Product Marketing to drive innovative product marketing and innovation strategy in support of VBB’s strategic direction across skincare and complexion
• Lead market research, identifying whitespace opportunities based on trends, consumer insights, VB preferences, and trend analysis, informing NPD ideas and briefs
• Partner with Product Marketing and Product Development teams to establish a competitive 5 yr calendar and pipeline
• Manage concept briefs and business cases for 3 yr pipeline
• Serve as the day-to-day marketing point person in cross-functional communication with weekly project status, advocating for marketing priorities and escalating issues when needed
• Manage the product marketing calendar and communicate changes to key counterparts across the organization
• Deliver impactful product dossiers to creative, digital, wholesale and marketing teams with clear direction, rich storytelling and sharp product positioning for each channel to build their plans around
• Manage sampling program, working with product development to develop strategies, conceptualize program briefs and support manufacturing to market
• Manage competitive pricing matrix to inform necessary changes
• Collect and analyze sales trends, sku productivity, category shifts, COG changes, market intelligence and competition to inform product portfolio decisions
• Compile launch post mortem for NPD, shade extensions and campaigns
You Have
• 5+ years of experience in global or product marketing within the beauty industry
• BA/BS or equivalent with focus in marketing or finance
• Balance of strategic, creative and analytical skills
• Comfortable with qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Self starter who is comfortable working with and building trust across teams and levels
• Ability to work hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in the office (NYC
