Job Description: Position Description Implements Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Kubernetes, CNCF containers, and open source technologies. Designs, develops, and modifies complex and major software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Measures performance against established objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that deliver on agreed upon business, technology, and people results. Influences the broader strategic technology decisions, roadmaps, and resource requirements. Primary Responsibilities: • Consults on development and delivery of major technology initiatives for the business unit. Oversees the technical implementation of cross-divisional or companyarchitectural components. • Initiates and drives project or strategy discussions with users or external groups to resolve issues. • Sets vision, goals, and direction of the team/organization. • Plans and leads organization wide initiatives. • Sets and refines the mission and brings together a team of chapter members to execute on specific product features. • Defines, evaluates, and communicates results against acceptance criteria. • Inspects and evaluates progress and removes impediments. • Collaborates and coordinates with Chapter Leaders and Scrum Masters to build squad capacity and capability and enables squad member growth, development, and learning. • Makes informed trade-off decisions to strike the right balance between quality, cost, and timelines. • Builds roadmaps, designs, and delivers products or solutions at scale. • Incorporates testing and instrumentation into workflows to ensure processes are reliable and measurable. • Creates and maintains continuous integration and deployment processes. • Understands customer needs, translates strategic objectives into action, and prioritizes to improve value delivered. • Designs, develops and maintains dynamic products and solutions. • Develops and directs software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as Director, Cloud Engineering (or closely related occupation) developing build and deploy pipelines in ICP, EKS, and Docker Swarm services in a financial services environment. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as Director, Cloud Engineering (or closely related occupation) developing build and deploy pipelines in ICP, EKS, and Docker Swarm services in a financial services environment. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing and engineering Cloud support and integration with Amazon Web Services (AWS); and developing and engineering application build and deployment pipelines in ICP, EKS, and Docker Swarm. • DE preparing and presenting DevOps project solutions and statuses to management and executives; and coordinating automated processes -- ITO and EMS -- with groups responsible for applications, systems, and technical support. • DE supporting WebSphere MQ, CA Wily Introscope, AppDynamics, and Web Tier integration using Apache Web servers or F5 hardware devices. • DE coordinating and reviewing scripts for business application recovery testing; scheduling, managing, and reviewing system component recovery testing; reviewing and updating disaster recovery and business continuance plans; researching production problems and coordinating remediation plans for security, risk, and audit actions; participating in the planning of hardware procurement and installations; and coordinating weekend change activities.
