Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Software Development Student to be responsible for the development and maintenance of platform for Android based information and entertainment (Infotainment) system. You will be working along-side other engineers, and developers working on different layers of the information and entertainment system!Key Responsibilities:Participate in all regular software development activitiesTranslate designs into high quality Android base Java code, or C++Participate in maintenance of existing codes and bug fixesParticipate in code, and test case reviewsProvide clear and complete documentation based on the definition of the software development processCo-work with team members in software development activities using the Scrum/Agile development processQualifications:Pursuit of a Bachelor's (3rd or 4th year) or Master's (Preferred) degree in the following areas: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software EngineeringAble to work 40 hours per week in Canada and for 8-month term (2 consecutive semesters) starting May 2024Development experience with Java, or C++Knowledge of SCM tools such as: GIT, JIRA, etcKnowledge of Scrum/Agile development process and concept of continuous integrationPreferred Qualifications:Experience of vehicle communication protocol (CAN)Knowledge of Carplay protocolKnowledge of Android Auto protocolKnowledge of Bluetooth, WiFi or USB domainsKnowledge of Android framework/ecosystemKnowledge of Android design principles and interface guidelinesDesired Skills:Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organizationExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to distill complex subjects to a wider audienceHigh level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, takes initiative/self-directedEvidence of strong character with integrity, honesty, accountability and trustConsistently demonstrates innovative thinking that is customer-centricExcellent project management skills and the proven track record to manage numerous projects at any givenPossess strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsFundamental digital literacy including understanding of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointThis role offers the following Work Appropriately strategies:Hybrid: The position requires developer to be on-site in office 3 times a weekPLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU DO NOT NEED SPONSORSHIP TO WORK IN CANADA NOW OR IN THE FUTURE.
