DGC Data Systems Architect University of California Los Angeles Requisition Number: 40420 Salary: $7,992 - $18,508 Monthly Position Description: The UCLA Depression Grand Challenge seeks to hire an experienced IT professional to lead the design, development, implementation and maintenance and of information systems and infrastructure in support of the UCLA Depression Grand Challenge campus-wide initiative with both research and dissemination objectives. The incumbent is responsible for managing and improving existing IT operations that span four environments (UCLA Health, DGSOM, UCLA campus and Sherlock at UCSD), designing solutions responsive to the needs of leadership and the operations team for both operational and UCLA/UCLA Health security purposes, The incumbent also is responsible for design and coding to customize solutions. Duties include conceptualizing software solutions to address particular user needs, deciding on the platforms and coding standards to be used project development, redesigning existing software to upgrade performance, ensuring architectural integrity of software solutions. The incumbent supervises a team of programmers, interviews and hires members of the team, assigns project responsibilities, and conducts annual performance reviews. The incumbent acts as the team lead, responsible for coordinating development priorities and responsibilities among the informatics team, budgeting the time, effort and software solutions or customizations for projects funded by various sponsors and represents the team in communication with leadership and partners.
