Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a QA Specialist. As a QA Specialist, you have to bring your analytical prowess, problem-solving acumen, and effective communication skills. Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week. Must-Haves: • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, creativity, and perseverance skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Interpersonal skills and a proven track record as a team player meeting deadlines • Knowledge of automated testing tools - MS Power Platform testing tool and/or Selenium • Experience with Azure DevOps Analysis and Problem-Solving Skills: • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, utilizing Agile methodology to define epics and user stories. • Provide input to requirements evaluation, analyze options, and evaluate conceptual system designs' impact on existing service delivery. • Communicate results, statistics, metrics, and status to Team Lead/Project Manager. • Assist developers in issue/defect recreation. • Attend project meetings, review testing inputs/outputs, and provide progress updates. Testing Knowledge and Expertise: • Develop, maintain, and document test plans, cases, scenarios, and scripts as directed by the project. • Document test results and ensure business and technical alignment in source-to-target mapping. • Apply knowledge of SDLC methodologies, ITIL processes, and relational databases. • Stay abreast of emerging IT trends and technologies, including cloud computing and enterprise data warehousing. • Understand Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) guidelines. • Familiarity with project management, task estimation, scheduling, and control. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: • Gather information and clarify needs for desired system changes. • Prepare system test documentation and assist in developing user manuals and guidelines. • Work within specified timelines, identify defects promptly, and provide supporting documentation. • Contribute to documentation and materials for reviews and knowledge transfer within the team
