Role Summary Netspend is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, Python engineer for our Data Applications, Transformation & Analytics team. Develops data products that help Netspend’s internal stakeholders to make informed decisions. Works within a backend team, collaborating with our product, marketing, customer service, and operations teams. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development, with a specialization in data-centric application development. • Proficiency in Python programming • Understanding of Python Web Frameworks • Experience in integrating API's • Strong understanding of data manipulation libraries like Pandas and Numpy • Experience with data visualization tools such as Matplotlib or Seaborn • Knowledge of machine learning libraries like Scikit-Learn and TensorFlow/PyTorch • Ability to work with databases using SQL • Ability to clean, analyze, and interpret complex data sets • Good foundation in machine learning algorithms and techniques • Knowledge in building and training machine learning models • Ability to evaluate model performance and make improvements • Knowledge of A/B testing methodologies • Ability to work with large datasets efficiently • Hands on experience with JIRA, Agile methodology, source code management - GIT, SVN etc. • Strong understanding in building REST APIs/ Micro services architecture • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Nice To Have • Working knowledge on Java, Spring integration, understanding of Springboot Micro services • Good to have Airflow • Experience with ETL frameworks/processes
