As our Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the testing of web applications. Working from initial software specifications you will develop and run test plans for customer acceptance testing, partner compliance, supporting software releases into production,
JOB SPECIFICATION
• Develop software test plans for the purpose of testing our products, resolving inconsistencies and issues.
• Work closely with the APP development team.
• Writing and executing test cases for new and existing functionality.
• Interface to software developers and other teams to resolve issues and improve quality.
• Working in the development of cutting-edge features and platforms as well as regression work with existing products.
• Assist the production team with their requirements and with software releases as necessary.
• Identify automated test opportunities and assist with implementation.
• Raising bugs in a timely manner with sufficient detail to be fixed/reproduced.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• ISTQB Foundation Qualification or a degree in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of proven working experience as an Automation Tester with a focus on web applications.
• Knowledge of automation testing tools ideally using Cypress with TypeScript / JavaScript or Selenium with Java.
• Good Java / JavaScript / TypeScript knowledge.
• Manual testing for the releases including System testing and Regression testing.
• Well organised and able to work to tight deadlines – good time management.
• Ability to work on own initiative and pickup things quickly.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with developers.
• Great team player.
• Problem solving and analytical skills to identify the root cause and resolve performance blockages.
• Attention to detail.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 2 years software test experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Automation Testing experience / knowledge is essential.
• Ability to identify issues, accurately log and record defect records in a tracking system and progress through to closure.
• Ideally have experience of using Microsoft Azure DevOps for bug tracking, reporting, and querying
• Version control systems such as Git.
• API testing using Postman/Newman
• Working knowledge of web services
• Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
