• Extensive experience working with SQL Databases – Troubleshooting, Configuration, Optimization, Disaster Recovery, Performance Tuning, Clustering, Security, Availability Groups, Mirroring
• Strong Soft Skills – Team Player, Self-Starter, and Good Communicator
Plusses:
• Extensive experience performing DBA duties in the Azure Cloud
• Systems Administration – Linux, Firewalls, Server Access
Day-to-Day:
One of our largest clients in the vital records industry is looking for an MS SQL DBA to join their growing team. This person will be a part of the DBA team that provides operational support to their internal teams. This team operates using Agile Methodology, so you will be expected to work with developers to understand requirements & help follow best practices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server databases. They have about 10 SQL server DBs that support multiple systems and teams. You will work with another DBA to understand the environment and provide operational support. Your responsibilities will include: Installing and configuring SQL Server, Creating and managing databases, Optimizing database performance, Securing databases, Backing up and restoring databases, Troubleshooting database problems, Working with application developers to ensure database requirements are met, Staying up-to-date on the latest Microsoft SQL Server releases and technologies. This role is fully remote, but you must work EST or CST hours.
