As a Research Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to complex problems in the field of machine learning. Responsibilities: • Innovate and develop cutting-edge solutions to relevant industry issues across the field of privacy-preserving on-device ML. • Accounting for real-world constraints, actively propose and prototype research solutions. • Thoroughly nurture research ideas into production-ready software whilst working on complex systems. • Leverage your knowledge of software engineering practices at the research and development stages respectively. • Technical autonomy over significant sections of the assigned research project. • Ensure complex functional and technical requirements are exquisitely translated into detailed designs. Qualifications: • PhD degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related disciplines • Publications in top ML/AI conferences/journals on topics such as NLP, Model Compression, Continual/Few-shot learning, and security and privacy in ML. • Demonstrated success across professional software development experience with Python or C/C++ is required. • Machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch. • A proven track record in AI model development and deployment (on embedded or distributed devices is a plus). Desirable: • Test-driven development experience. • Contribution to open-source libraries. • Large Language Model Efficiency Publications. • Experience with Rust.
