Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AWS, Linux, and containerization technologies, with a strong focus on automation and configuration management. Responsibilities:
• Conduct investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or to investigate and resolve matters of significance.
• Review completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities on projects to provide required products or services.
• Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Offer technical consultation to other organizations; interact with senior customer personnel and internal senior management.
• Provide first-level support to the customer base.
Experience:
• Background in automating application deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as RedHat, Puppet, Chef, and Ansible.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IAC) technologies such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Strong Linux Sysadmin skills.
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker & Kubernetes).
• Good understanding of internet communication concepts and protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP.
• Experience deploying Continuous Integration solutions.
• Awareness of security considerations in web application deployment.
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools such as ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, etc.
• Strong AWS knowledge - EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, networking, cost management.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work to brief with limited supervision.
• Creative in applying new technology to build innovative solutions.
• Knowledge/Experience of modern programming languages, understanding at least one of: Bash script, Python, Ruby, Perl, C, C++, Java, PowerShell
