Role: Cloud-FinOps Analyst Location: Remote/Canada Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Must Have: Business Systems Analyst background Rate CAD 75 per hour - ( familiar with reporting, presentations, collaboration with other teams, and admin/operational activities). FinOps certified practitioners with cloud background. Responsibilities: • As a Cloud FinOps Analyst with Sobeys, you will: • Work in an exciting, growing, and vital team that is at the center of the action for Sobeys enterprise roadmap initiatives. • Help to deliver secure, scalable, flexible, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in a multi-cloud environment primarily within Azure, but also in Mulesoft, SAP Cloud Platform, Google Cloud Platform, and a growing list of cloud service providers and cloud hosted solutions. • Continuously monitor and optimize cloud service consumption • Report on cloud consumption on a periodic basis for Opex spend and Capital program investment attribution. • Perform period-over-period analysis on consumption monitoring trends, track and validate cost optimization efforts, and identify opportunities for savings. • Work closely with IT Finance on capital registers, Opex budgeting and forecasting. • Work with cross-functional teams providing services in the cloud (Azure) to define forecasts and budgets for opex growth and project/program planning. • Monitor and report on the burndown against pre-payment reservations (e.g. Azure Databricks). Work closely with consumers and Sobeys Strategic Sourcing to forecast when those pre-payments will be consumed and assist in the negotiation of subsequent pre-payments and reservations. • Support cross-functional teams consuming cloud services to understand issues in spend and opportunities for savings and best practices around consumption of cloud services. • Work with the Enterprise Project Management Office (PMO) on project charter estimates for cloud services. • Work with the Business Partnership department on financial estimates and estimating frameworks for new business portfolio management (PPMO) initiatives. • Maintain relationships with the cloud service providers to gain support and insights and for opportunities for cost optimization. • Support IT leadership on enterprise agreement and commit to consume planning. • Monitor and report on burndown of commit to consume programs with cloud service providers. • Plan, forecasts, manage, and track the inventory of cloud service reservations. • Assist in the planning for, evaluation and implementation of cloud consumption management tools and solutions. • Setup, maintain, and manage automated alerting for product budgets within Azure. • Work with Cloud and DevOps COEs to ensure financial attribution tagging policies are strictly enforced. • Perform ad-hoc Cloud consumption analysis as required. Job Requirements: • What Your Resume Will Include And Demonstrate To Us • Any related Azure certification will be a significant differentiator. • Experience with other public clouds e.g. Google Cloud Platform, SAP Cloud Platform/Foundry. • Experience with Salesforce, SAP, SAP-CDC, OSP. • E-Commerce and Retail experience
