DevOps Engineer (AWS)
Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 + Benefits

The AWS DevOps Engineer will work closely with product teams, software engineers, and data engineers to maintain and create development tools and infrastructure. They will also assist in the re-development and modernization of ETL and real-time streaming pipelines, implement cybersecurity measures, and work with AWS cloud infrastructure. Other responsibilities include adhering to change management protocols, presenting technical designs, and collaborating with stakeholders.
The essential qualifications and skills for this role are:
• Bachelor's degree in software, network, or cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role.
• Troubleshooting and debugging experience with SQL, SNS, SQS, Kinesis, C# (.NET Core), S3, FTP, AWS Lambda, and REST APIs.
• Operating system administration experience with both Windows and Linux.
• Knowledge of networking components, webservers, firewalls, and network routing.
• Familiarity with automation tooling (e.g., Jenkins) and runtime integrated analysis tooling (e.g., New Relic).
• Understanding of best-in-class analytical capabilities and data warehousing (e.g., Redshift, OpenSearch, Athena, SQL).
• Knowledge of architectural design patterns for microservices leveraging relational and big data technologies.
• Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and improve systems and processes.
• Excellent documentation skills.
Desirable qualifications and skills include experience with provisioning new technical assets (e.g., EC2 build), Kubernetes, Docker, and familiarity with Agile development processes
