They have a history of more than 100 years and has a strong presence in APAC with Singapore as the headquarter. They are currently expanding and you would now have the opportunity to join this exciting company as a Software Engineer (Application Support/Java)
about the job
• Conduct day-to-day L2 support of banking application software. In case any errors are detected by the bank operations department (L1 support), you are required to find the recovery solution, working together with your colleagues, the outsourcing vendor, the bank IT department, and the counterparty of the head office, if necessary.
• Once the bank decides to launch a project for change request functions raised byusers, or dealing with End of Life scenarios such as operating systems, database management software, and hardware, you will take on the role of project manager.
• You are expected to manage team members, multiple vendors, and serviceproviders to complete all tasks as required and planned.
• You are expected to proceed with projects by resolving issues, controlling vendors and resources, managing schedules, and preparing reports for management, the bank, and the head office for approval if required.
skills and experience required
• At least 3 years working experience as application support or software engineer in the banking sector.
• Experience with Java, Oracle, JP1
• Familiar with Payment, Swift, Giro would be a plus
