About the opportunity
We’re working on something big, and we need your help. Dayforce is launching our newest product, Ideal Talent Marketplace (‘Ideal’), where we are redefining how the world thinks about work. Ideal is an on-demand marketplace that connects everyday people with open shifts posted by our customers. We enable workers take control of how they choose to work and earn money while helping customers strategically find more talent.
This is your opportunity to join as a founding member of an innovative team and join our mobile team in developing an app from the ground up. On this team you will operate in a challenging, autonomous, and rewarding start-up environment with the resources of a proven and successful enterprise organization. You will be held closely accountable in achieving your KPIs. This is an individual contributor role with the opportunity to be a subject matter expert and mentor for other team members in the future.
What you’ll get to do
• Work with the mobile team to test consumer facing apps, including requirements analysis, design review, formulating test plans, designing and executing test cases, conducting defect tracking and software quality analysis, etc.
• Identifying reproduction steps for reported issues by business team/users in production.
• Perform functional, usability, and localization testing.
• Develops, documents, and maintains test cases.
• Work with cross-functional teams to become a product expert in our platform to ensure the product testing focuses on real-world scenarios and not just what is easy.
• Assist in designing, implementation, and execution of test cases for new and existing features.
• Contribute to our quality projects, including basic automation of test cases.
• Investigate, report, and track product failures to resolution.
• Identify and escalate issues related to plan and quality.
• Participate in the development of automated testing tools/frameworks, design, and execution of automated test cases.
Skills and experience we value
• At least 1 year experience working in a similar or relevant role.
• Good understanding of software development practices.
• Familiarity with one mobile API test platform, such as Espresso or XCTest, is a plus.
• Ability to deal with multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable with change and ambiguity.
• Proactive, self-driving, and in-depth understanding of the business; capability of communicating with cross-functional teams and taking charge of a business independently.
