SENIOR PRODUCT MANAGER Reports to: Product Lead Location: Sydney or Melbourne (Hybrid) Role Type: Full time Level: Senior Kablamo is a fast-growing digital product development company, working at the forefront of distributed, highly scaled application development. From a career perspective, you have worked in either a start-up environment or consulting for at least 5 years in Product Management, or in a related field (such as Project Management). The Role At Kablamo, we are experts at the many disciplines required to develop new digital products which make end-to-end use of the cloud. We help clients build bespoke cloud-based systems and implement the practices, knowledge and tools to do so repeatedly. We help our customers to build their competitive advantage and to solve complex problems by harnessing the power of technology to drive real change in their business and for their end customers. Our Product Managers are strategic leaders on our client engagements - building the strategy to guide our implementation work. They are passionate about building transformational products which solve real problems - designed to scale with our clients' business. They grow strong customer relationships and contribute to our business development practice. Product Managers help our clients think beyond lists of requirements, and build inspiring product visions. They are roadmap artisans, lovers of data and champions of user adoption. Responsibilities: • Lead and facilitate the development of product strategy - including setting the Product Vision, Strategic Priorities and User Adoption Strategy • Set goals and measures of success, ensuring shared purpose and direction across the development team • Take ownership of ensuring that what we are building is viable for the business and valuable for the users • Develop and manage Product Roadmaps - flexibly configuring the format to suit the individual client • Working closely with our Business Development, Technical and Design teams - contribute to and lead workshops and discussions to gather requirements, identify user needs, and define product goals and objectives. • Identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies related to product development, and take appropriate actions to mitigate them. • Own the product data strategy - negotiating with third parties to: acquire data, integrate with external systems, or include other SaaS solutions into our products as needed • Follow and contribute to Kablamo’s agile methodology and processes, ensuring adherence to best practices. • Align with Kablamo’s Agile Ways of Working (K-WoW!) and collaboratively working with our delivery teams to incorporate Product Management methodologies into our practice Internal focus: • Assist in account management activities, collaborating with Company Leads to understand client needs and align product development accordingly. • Contribute to business development activities as an adjunct to the partnerships team - through delivery of demos, requirements gathering and tender responses Client Focus: • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, building trust and an open dialogue - foundational to Kablamo’s long-term partnerships with their clients • Proactively and effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders, including customers, to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations. • Own the relationship with client Product Owners - ensuring optimal use of this resource to unblock, inform, and support project deliverables • Accountable for ensuring the delivery of training which enables optimal uptake of the solutions we develop - ensuring business value for our clients • Conduct meaningful and robust analysis on user metrics and report your recommendations to senior audiences People Leadership: • Provide vision and direction to the project team(s) • Consistently demonstrate and advocate Kablamo's values and principles in product management activities. • Support, train, and develop other Product Managers within the organisation, sharing knowledge and best practices. Required Skills and Experience: • 5+ years in a product management role in either a start-up or consultancy environment OR equivalent experience as a senior designer or senior project manager with experience in Product Management activities such as: • User requirements gathering • Business rules development • Product Owner & senior stakeholder relationship management • Negotiation of solution scope with senior client stakeholders • Experience managing relationships with clients, vendors and partners across all levels of an enterprise - this position requires the Product Manager to establish and grow strong client relationships • Experience developing product roadmaps and product strategy • Some experience in developing or delivering software training • Experience with agile project management tools - including Jira and Confluence • Experience in leveraging user metrics to drive product strategy and user adoption • Self-motivated and resourceful • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desirable Skills and Experience: • Project management experience or certifications • Experience in product design and/or business analyst roles • Experience in business development • Experience with data analytics or data science • Experience with fire technology products and/or rural fire fighting domain knowledge Future Roles / Career Progression • Lead Product Manager • Delivery Lead
