Back End Developer - NodeJS/AWS (3 days per week onsite)
An exciting opportunity for a Back End Developer to work on a greenfield project for our industry leading client based in South West London.
This will be a 6-month initial contract and will be 3 days onsite with 2 from home.
The Back End Developer with be focussed on the integration and building backend capabilities, you’ll be working in an agile team of engineers to build a platform used by our clients’ customers.
The Back End Developer applying will have the following skills / experience;
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in node and other backend technologies like Java or similar.
• Strong proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript, ES6+.
• Experience with Kubernetes and service mesh, preferably with EKS
• Experience with building CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with NodeJS, Typescript, NextJS, AWS CDK, Mocha
• Good experience with commonly used AWS services – Lambdas, ECS, SQS, SMS, API gateway Cognito, KMS, Kinesis, event bridge
• Experience with databases – AWS RDS, MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Experience with building event-based architecture/solutions.
• Experience writing automated software tests (e.g. unit tests, integration tests)
• Understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Understanding of GraphQL
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
