PyTest, Python, SQL and Big Data
• 5+ years experience designing and developing a testing automation framework / scripts using Pytest for web applications
• ETL is must
• Proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks, specifically Pytest and Selenium.
• Have successfully built and supported an automation framework from scratch
• Understanding of algorithms, data structures and complexity analysis.
Must have skills:
• Python Programming
• Proficiency in fundamental Python concepts, including classes, instances, functions, exception handling, and built-in types and functions.
• Write, Debug, and run python programs.
• Write and maintain test cases in Python.
• Familiarity with logging mechanisms at various levels.
• PyTest :
• Proficiency in organizing test cases using PyTest.
• Knowledge of PyTest markers and fixtures concepts.
• Experience in mocking test data and functions for effective testing.
• SQL and Big Data Testing Experience:
• Hands-on experience in testing big data applications, processing large datasets, and validating data transformations.
• Hands-on experience in SQL, demonstrating expertise in executing and validating queries within a big data environment.
• Adaptability to Learning New Frameworks and Tools:
• Ability and zeal to quickly adapt and learn new testing frameworks, tools, and technologies as per project requirements, showcasing flexibility and agility in staying updated with industry trends.
Good to have Skills:
• Medallion Architecture Data Design Pattern
• Basic understanding of Medallion architecture data design pattern, including terminologies and layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, etc.).
• Big Data Testing Concepts:
• Understanding of big data testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience using Rally for Test Management:
• Familiarity with Rally - test management tool, and experience in utilizing it for test planning, execution, and reporting.
