AWS/DevOps Engineer

Required
Skills and Experience Needed
• 5+ years' experience with AWS services:
• Networking: VPC / Subnets / Route Tables / VPG / Security Groups
• Compute: EC2 / Autoscaling / Load Balancers
• Database: RDS / Aurora / Dynamo
• Kubernetes: EKS / ECR
• Other: SQS / SNS / S3 / IAM / CloudFront / CloudWatch
• Ability to run and modify Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts in Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge debugging containers running in a Kubernetes cluster.
• Linux system administration - ability to manage and troubleshoot Linux systems and services.
• Managing application running in AWS.
• Work with app team to identify defect, root cause, pipeline to deploy fix
• Linux networking experience
• GIT and Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline
Desired
• Monitoring Applications: Splunk, Dynatrace
• Pulsar experience
• Postgres experience
• Nginx: basic understanding of Nginx configurations and reverse proxies
• Networking: solid understanding of routing and networking concepts
• Agile development environment
• Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery - Jenkins deployments and pipelines
• Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, ServiceNow
• Containerization technologies such as Docker, Pivotal
• Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet
Education
• Bachelor's degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement
