I have an amazing opportunity for a Go/Golang Developer to join a prestigious UK financial services organisation who invest heavily in their staff and offer great career progression. This is pretty much a fully remote role but the candidates will have to be within commutable distance to the client London office.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver code updates to the conformance suite and tools used in the development and maintenance of the UK regulated standards.
• Provide third level support to answer service desk tickets.
• Process certification requests and work with the Lead Standards Architect to address any issues that arise.
• Work with Lead Standards Architect to improve development & deployment processes for the Standard and associated tooling.
• Document the client specifications and API standard updates.
• Manage deployment of technical documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger and associated specifications using markdown and VuePress.
Experience & Knowledge:
• A minimum of 1-2 years Go development experience – ideally within the Financial Services industry.
• Experience of developing APIs and supporting software, in-line with industry development practices, preferably in a financial services environment.
• Must have experience with the following technology and standards: Swagger/OpenAPI/JSON/Javascript/Go/Golang/Node/npm/Yarn/Vue/VuePres/Docker.
• Agile development methodology and practices highly desirable.
• Experience of using GitHub for source control, automation via GitHub actions and GitHub Pages for hosting.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for managing issues, backlogs and creating documentation.
• Experience of creating software documentation including process flows and UML diagrams.
• Experience of AWS lambda is desirable.
• Knowledge of UK payment systems is desirable.
