Position Summary
1. Establish specification confirmation, potential defect, evaluation method regarding new technology, structure, materials and method in consultation with related departments and identify existing failure cases.
2. Executes the reliability test and approve it based on the test result.
3. Analyzes the root cause of reliability issue and find improvement direction in consultation with related departments.
Role and Responsibilities
• Testing of new upcoming /pre-launched model
• Supporting in different types of inter-operability test for phones
• Responsible for the performance of testing and evaluation, primarily within the field test environment to qualify new software versions of Samsung 5G/LTE/UMTS/GSM mobile phone
• Conduct testing for newly developed applications before they are launched in the Samsung Application store
• Conduct testing Function test for Mobile Wallet application ( Samsung Pay)
• To ensure the quality, the engineer shall use standard test procedures, Samsung internal quality assurance requirements, and carrier and customer specific features and applications test procedures.
• Submit test reports on the results of the field test
• Work closely with Headquarter and R&D to solve problems encountered with development handset
• Drafting some new test procedures, reviewing test process
• Creating / editing python scripts for automation testing
Skills and Qualifications
• Diploma/Degree in /Electrical/Telecommunication/Computer Engineering
• Knowledge of ISQTB and Agile testing methodology, mobile communication network protocol will be a bonus
• 2 years of experience in Python programming is an added advantage
• Be dynamic, Proactive and self-motivated.
• Reliable, organized and should be detail oriented with effective time management skill
• Have debugging skills, investigative mind, paying attention to small details.
• Strong analytical skills required. Able to identify discrepancies during the testing procedures
• Good interpersonal relationship and ability to work in an environment with different culture
• Good communication skills
• Strong interest in telecommunication technology and exploring electronic gadget
• Knowledge of Samsung, Competitors phone Brand key feature, portfolio
• Prior experience in testing will be advantageous
