Job Description
We are excited to hire a data analyst with at least 7 years of relevant job experience to join our analytics team under Western Digital’s sales & strategy organization
As a senior data analyst, you will
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and operations teams in sales reports & data analysis automation;
• Capture business requirements and build a development plan with timelines;
• Discuss automation plan with stakeholders on timelines & functionality, get sign-off with requirements and the delivered product;
• Conduct technical and design reviews with the internal teams as needed;
• Collaborate with other analysts & data engineers on larger and complex projects, or as per the project requirements;
• Self-manage your work and timelines in Jira (project management tool). Use daily standup meetings to discuss status and highlight roadblocks;
• Analyze data using visualization tools like Power BI. Review your work with internal teams and the stakeholders;
• Write SQL queries to analyze data in the Data warehouse environment, and build data models as per the requirements;
• Analyze data quality & data gaps. Work with the required teams to discuss gaps and work through their resolution;
• Participate in testing, implementation, and adoption of the reports with stakeholder and change management team;
• Should be willing to learn new tools and technologies;
• Must be a self-starter and can complete tasks with minimal direction and oversights;
Qualifications
• Quick learner with at least 7+ years of experience in data analysis and report automation with strong analytical skills;
• Must have experience using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Salesforce CRM Analytics to analyze data & build automated reports. Experience with Power BI and Salesforce CRM Analytics is a big plus;
• Strong SQL skills. Should be comfortable in writing complex SQL queries with joins and sub-queries to analyze and create data models. Must have 4+ years of experience in using SQL & SQL clients like TOAD or Oracle SQL developer;
• Experience in ETL tools like Informatica Cloud or Snaplogic is a big plus;
• Should have strong research and data analysis skills. Knowledge of statistical methods like regression analysis, time series forecasting methods, etc is a big plus;
• Experience working with Python is a big plus.
• Good to have experience in Excel for quick data analysis;
• Strong verbal/written communication skills. Should be able to lead communications, give timely updates, summarize, and conclude meetings.
• Should have strong problem-solving skills and should be able to use required technical tools;
• Basic knowledge of project management methodology and practices
