Sure Exec Search are working with one of the UK's legal firms who are looking for a highly skilled IT Network Engineer to join the team in London on an initial 6 month contract. *FULL UK RIGHT TO WORK - NO SPONSORSHIP PROVIDED*

Role Overview: The Network Engineer position entails managing day-to-day operational tasks to support backend IT systems. This role is responsible for providing hands-on 3rd line operational support for the company's network infrastructure and assisting in the implementation of new systems or technologies.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues raised through the Ticket system.
• Ensure effective and efficient operation of the global BAU network.
• Take top-level support and ownership of WAN and LAN technologies, collaborating with other teams.
• Play a crucial role in maintaining the company's network security standards and controls.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors for root cause analysis on support issues.
• Work seamlessly with diverse teams across different locations.
• Demonstrate strong writing skills, producing support documentation and technical implementation plans.
• Operate within secure and restrictive enterprise environments.
Risk and Control: Ensure all activities and duties comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Essential Skills And Experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex network, system, and security problems.
• In-depth experience in designing and implementing multi-site LANS and WANs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco switching, Cisco Nexus 3k & 9k.
• Solid understanding of routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF.
• Expertise in wireless technologies, with global Aruba deployment experience.
• CCNP or CCIE certification or equivalent knowledge.
• Proficiency in leading Firewall technologies such as Palo Alto and Fortinet.
• Strong understanding of network security, including Layer7 technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of Riverbed/Steelhead WAN accelerators.
• Experience with MPLS and VPN networks
