Network Engineer - Voice experience
This award-winning specialist UK Financial Services Company are seeking an experienced Network Engineer who's eager to use and grow their technological skills in a role that provides the opportunity to make a real difference in a time of planned growth within the organisation.
The opportunity would be perfect for an individual with Voice platform experience, joining a friendly, dynamic team you will play a critical role in maintaining their voice network infrastructure including MS Teams and other platforms. This will only be a part of the role, as joining the Network Operations Team will also involve working on all the aspects of their infrastructure including switching, routing and VPN solutions.
Key Job Role Activities -
This role requires strong technical knowledge of network security, data centre and campus networks.
Experience with Session Border Controller and Teams collaboration configuration, security configurations and voice routing are essential.
Network administration and troubleshooting of DHCP, DNS, routers, load balancers and internet web proxy platforms.
Experience with configuring, managing, monitoring and troubleshooting Cisco Nexus, Fortinet, Meraki & Genesys.
Provide Level 2 and Level 3 Network support within SLAs, providing the highest level of support to all customers both internally and externally, taking ownership of voice incidents.
Responsibility for proactive support including deploying patches, bug fixes and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Maintain thorough documentation of network designs, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference and knowledge sharing.
Effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) technical information to end users, colleagues and service managers.
Skills Required -
Obtained significant experience of VOIP solutions, including Team, SIP, SBC
Good knowledge managing MS Teams Telephony / Knowledge of managing IP Telephony / call recording solutions
Knowledge in Wi-Fi Technologies such as Meraki
Knowledge of Firewalls (Fortinet is a plus)
Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, SBC and contact centre voice platforms (cloud or traditional)
Proven experience in deploying and supporting voice and network services in a large and complex environment
Proven experience with automation and monitoring tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial for liaising with stakeholders, explaining technical terms in plain language, and ensuring everyone is informed and aligned.
Ability to manage and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from technical teams to senior management.
Ability to make informed decisions quickly, especially under pressure
Experience
Several years' experience in a voice and networking support role with:o Solid MS Teams Telephony experience
• Experience and knowledge of Cloud-based call solutions
• Experience with contact centre board systems

CompTIA Network+
