Job Summary:
As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing quality assurance and quality control measures in machinery installation, welding, pipe fitting, and mechanical fitting projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure that all engineering works meet both our internal standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and policies for machinery installation, welding, pipe fitting, and mechanical fitting projects.
- Conduct inspections and tests throughout all stages of the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and certification paperwork.
- Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Provide technical guidance and training to project staff on quality control practices and standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure their products and services meet quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Singaporean and international quality standards and regulations.
- Monitor and report on quality performance metrics to senior management.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in QA/QC roles, specifically in machinery installation, welding, pipe fitting, and/or mechanical fitting.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards and regulations relevant to the engineering and construction industry in Singapore.
- Proficiency in quality inspection tools and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, ISO 9001) is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
