Education and Experience » Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Management Information Systems. At least 12 years of professional experience, with a preference for 5 years in client consulting. Experience with tools for observability, CI/CD and monitoring Experience with Kubernetes containerization in AWS In-depth knowledge of DevOps and continuous delivery practices. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities » Databases: SQL Server, Postgres, Cosmos, Dyanmo. Cloud Providers: AWS, Azure Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Serverless Framework, Cloud Formation, ARM templates. DevOps: Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions. Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, ECR, Azure AKS, ACR This role would work with applications with back-end technologies such as: .Net, C#, Java and Python and front-end technologies such as: , Angular, React and Vue. WHAT YOU’LL DO: Job Responsibilities: Requirement Analysis and Solution Design: Engage with clients to understand business processes, needs and requirements. Collaborate with Business Analysts to align designs with business objectives. Translate client requirements into architectural designs and specifications. Technical Leadership and Decision-Making: Provide guidance to DevOps and development teams, ensuring technical solutions align with the architectural vision. Identify and address potential technical risks or challenges. Make key decisions on tools, frameworks and methodologies. Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, SREs, DevOps engineers, cloud engineers, developers, testers and stakeholders. Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders. Ensure alignment on proposed solutions, benefits and trade-offs. Continuous Improvement and Research: Create detailed architectural documentation and specifications. Evaluate and recommend new technologies or methodologies. Lead internal initiatives to improve processes and methodologies. Stay updated with industry trends, tools and technologies. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing. Mentor junior team members, share knowledge and conduct training sessions. Site Reliability Engineering: Observability and Stability: Design logging, monitoring, observability and alerting solutions with clients. Focus on continuous improvement for a modern application with good user and developer experience. Plan for high availability and disaster recovery. Plan for scalability and cost effectiveness of the solution. Architect and implement cloud infrastructure for high availability and high security systems that meet the client’s needs (including ingress with rules, authentication, authorization, virtual networking, security, etc.). Architect and implement containerized applications with orchestration. Architect and implement cloud native applications including PAAS and FAAS resources. DevOps: Create automation and document workflows for continuous integration, testing, application deployment and developer experience. Architect and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions. Define configuration management tools and procedures. Collaboration and Support: Drive adoption of architectural patterns, design policies and performance initiatives. Assist, mentor and train team members on observability practices. Work closely with support teams, delivery managers and product owners Client Relationships and Upgrades: Build strong partnerships and relationships with clients. Promote technical and functional best practices and industry standards. Collaborate with support, systems and business leads for upgrades and enhancements. Interested?
