As a Senior Product Manager on the team, you’ll play a key role in taking Canoe’s transformative technology to the next level. This is an opportunity to lead large product initiatives and help to shape the overall product strategy and vision for a fast-growing, dynamic financial technology company. What You’ll Do: • Interface effectively with clients, utilizing metrics-driven strategies to enhance the consistency, speed, and precision of data extraction to support our company in hyper-growth. • Drive business outcomes through effective leadership of cross-functional teams, while managing communication to keep stakeholders informed and engaged in the progress as well as risks towards strategic goals. • Lead idea generation, discovery, and design of new/enhanced product features • Establish detailed business requirements and product specifications including use cases, wireframes, and mockups where applicable, working with a Product Designer • Work closely with engineers and QA to manage the software development process and achieve excellence in project execution • Shape Canoe’s product strategy and roadmap priorities by gathering feedback from clients, internal teams, and competitive market research. • Author product release communications, knowledge guides and various other materials for stakeholder management and reporting • Use data and tooling to analyze, monitor, and report on user engagement metrics • Collaborate with Client Success, Sales and other functional teams across the organization to deepen understanding of client use cases and drive key product decisions What We’re Looking For: • 6+ years experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar in the private markets technology field. • Proven experience in an agile software development environment, specifically with writing comprehensive user stories and conducting efficient backlog refinement sessions • Proven experience working within a fast-paced software development environment on complex projects • Strong work ethic, demonstrated acute attention to detail, excellent time management, and exceptional organizational skills • Deadline oriented and a proven ability to self-manage in a remote/hybrid work setting • Both a strong collaborative team player and focused individual contributor • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Bachelor degree, or equivalent work experience Preferred • Experience in a demanding B2B fintech SaaS startup environment • Prior experience working with large complex data sets and developing subject matter expertise in private markets • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncovering answers to complex product development questions • Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools and Confluence or similar collaborative documentation tools • Experience with Figma or similar prototyping tools such as InVision, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Balsamiq What You’ll Get: • Medical, dental, vision benefits • Unlimited PTO • 401(k) • Flexible work from home policy • Home office stipend + wifi reimbursement • Employee Assistance Program • Gym reimbursement • Education assistance • Parental Leave • Commuter benefits Our Values: • Client First —> Listen, and deliver client-centric solutions • Be An Owner —> Take initiative, improve situations, drive positive outcomes • Excellence —> Always set the highest standard for yourself and others • Win Together —> 1 + 1 = 3 Who We Are: Canoe is reimagining alternative investment data processes for hundreds of leading institutional investors, capital allocators, asset servicing firms and wealth managers.
