Key jobresponsibilities
The Working Environment
Youwill be working in either one of our operations warehouses or atone our corporate offices, both of which are incredibly fast pacedand dynamic. Successful candidates will therefore be required tomaintain a flexible approach to change and be comfortable dealingwith ambiguity, which will allow you to thrive in either of theseenvironments.
A day in thelife
Your role is to ascertain how data can be used inorder to answer questions and solve problems. You will beresponsible for requirement-gathering, inspecting, cleansing,transforming and modelling data with the goal of discovering usefulinformation, informing conclusions and supporting decision-making.
You will need to have strong communication skills as youwill be liaising and sharing your work with different stakeholders.You will also need a good eye for details as you will be workingwith a lot of data and information that requires accuracy whenhandling the workload.
Across the program you will gainand develop Data Analysis skills and be involved in thefollowing
Implement the stages of the data analysislifecycle
Apply principles of data classificationwithin data analysis activity
Analyze data sets takingaccount of different data structures and databasedesigns
Assess the impact on user experience and domaincontext on data analysis activity
Identify data sourcesand the risks and challenges to combination within data analysisactivity
Select and apply the most appropriate datatools to achieve the optimum outcome.
As aData Analyst Apprentice at Amazon, you'll gain a vast range ofuseful experiences and skills. You will work towards the L6 DataAnalyst apprenticeship standard and also work towards the BSc(Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions.
You willbuild your skills over a 36-month period, starting in September.These skills will help you develop personally and professionally.Your apprenticeship will be made up of
Classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge
On-the-job training at your Amazon base location - either within acorporate office or in an operations warehouse
Onlinelearning
Mentoring from our experienced teammembers
Alongside extensive development of your technicalskills, you will also grow your abilities in crucial complementaryareas like organization, prioritization, data and problem-solvingtechniques, teamwork, communication, presentation skills anddocument writing.
You will work alongside the team,supporting with day to day tasks learning how Amazon works anddelivers for its customers. As your knowledge and skills increaseover the duration of the scheme you will have opportunities to bepart of and lead projects, making a difference for customers. Theon the job experience will help you build a portfolio of evidencetowards your apprenticeship. You will be given dedicated time tofocus on your studies to help you stay on track and work towardssuccessfully completing your qualification(s). Once you havesuccessfully completed your Data Analyst Degree Apprenticeship youwill be able to apply for relevant roles globally acrossAmazon
You will attend a number of workshops across theduration of the apprenticeship. Workshops will be a mix of face toface and online, delivered by a training provider. You will alsoattend internal workshops/ trainings to support you in developingAmazon related skills and knowledge. Depending on the scheme andlocation of the training provider you may be required to travel andstay overnight. (costs will be supported byAmazon)
About theteam
Amazon is the perfect place to start your career asData Analyst. Our Data Analyst apprentices can work across a numberof tech and non-tech teams in Amazon, supporting the business teamin completing ad hoc data requests and analyses as needed. You willdevelop reporting using Tableau and Quick sight for repetitive datatasks where data pipelines/queries are already in place(concessions, CS metrics, operations), automation of manualprocesses and undertaking deep dive on metrics to help the businessteam understand metric changes, utilizing trendanalysis.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidatesshould be 18 years or over before the start date and have the rightto live and work in England
For the apprenticeshipprogram we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding fortheir apprenticeship and for this you need to:
- Havelived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last3 years
- Be a resident of the UK for the entire durationof the program
- Not be registered to study on a UKgovernment funded course ending August 2023 orlater
To be eligible for this program you willalso need to have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or aboveincluding Maths and English plus any of thefollowing:
- 2 A Level passes (A-E) in 1 ormore STEM subject, or
- BTEC extended diploma in asimilar subject or STEM T-Level Grades in a similar subject,or
- Level 3 Apprenticeship at Pass in an appropriatediscipline
Note: Similar subject relates toareas directly relevant to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering,Mathematics) subjects
Please note, you will berequired to evidence your qualifications. If you have gainedqualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidencethat they are equivalent.
Note:This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or littleknowledge/ experience of the occupation, and is NOT suitable forcandidates who already have a similar or higher-level qualificationin the same or similar subject of the apprenticeship. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS
Ideal applicants will already possess asolid foundation of knowledge within the IT field. They will have apassion for data analysis, as well as be able to demonstrateproficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Exceland Word.

Yourrecruitment process will start with your online application(providing your CV as well as answering questions about the abovebasic qualifications) and will then take you onto online testing.
As a last step, we will invite successfulcandidates to an assessment center where they will participate in agroup exercise, execute a practical exercise and get a chance topresent their profile, motivation and skills 1-on-1 duringinterviews or presentations.
