You will be accountable for the product lifecycle of their assigned product(s) beginning from product brainstorming and following through to product delivery and deployment. Gathering, analyzing competitive and market intelligence and understanding customers’ needs and requests, you will create a product roadmap to ensure the profitability and viability of the products within the assigned portfolio. Within Moneris, the Product Manager is the central point for the voice of the customer and works with their Technology counterparts to achieve corporate goals.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office and will work in a Hybrid model.
Reporting Relationship: You will report to the Director, Product.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
• Maximize the value delivered by the product team by ensuring that the product backlog is aligned with customer needs. Lead in complex product delivery (or a group of products) to support overall business objectives.
• Develop and execute a 3-month to 18-month roadmap for assigned portfolio. Manage all elements of the product life cycle including gathering and creating product requirements, introducing new features (including determining the appropriate product solution bundle), retiring outdated or redundant features, and providing product support for product launches.
• Support market intelligence analysis and translates the customers’ needs into the product vision
• Accountable for feedback loop to inspect and adapt the product through frequent increments (Continuous improvement). This includes managing and soliciting feedback from clients, sales, technology and operations on tech trial and pilot, working with the organization to deliver best in market solution and address / prioritize any remediation needed before commercial launch.
• Accountable for customer visits during requirements gathering, solution feasibility, and product demonstrations.
• Develop solutions to address opportunities, gaps and requirements to maintain competitiveness of product offering, consulting on concepts with Technology, and developing comprehensive business cases to support decisions and prioritization.
• Take accountability for a portfolio of products and the product lifecycle of the entire portfolio beginning from product ideation and following through to product delivery and deployment. Deliver increments of value according to release planning and roadmaps. Deliver products on budget, within defined scope, and with agreed-upon specifications to enable the achievement of defined benefits and Objective & Key Result (OKR) success metrics.
• Lead more complex and higher dollar value products, often involving external parties, with minimal support from their leader.
• Accountability is inclusive of revenue, product cost, customer satisfaction, adoption/usage, and innovation rate (maintenance vs new features).
• Prioritize product requirements against resources and revenue opportunities to maximize impact of future releases against achieving published corporate priorities.
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
• Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a product management capacity, managing multiple products through the full product life cycle (including launches).
• Experience developing a digital product in-house (ex. web app)
• At least 1 year experience with Agile methodologies and best practices
• Experience in strategic planning, project lifecycle management, portfolio management, compliance, and change management.
• Experience working with multiple teams with a shared codebase in available and scalable environments.
• Experience working with React and modern web and mobile technologies
• Work in teams across the organization with multiple partners and to influence and align others.
• Experience in payment systems and the merchant acquiring business is an asset.
