The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server. The MSSQL DBA will play a key role in maintaining the integrity, security, and availability of our databases.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and support database solutions.
• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.
• Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce security policies to safeguard sensitive data.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and provide technical support.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in database administration.
Qualifications:
• Preferably Singaporean Citizen or Permanent Resident due to business needs.
• Proven experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
• Strong understanding of database security principles and best practices.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
Nice to have:
• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
• Scripting skills (PowerShell, T-SQL) for automation.
• Knowledge of database-related DevOps practices
