Play a key role in both manually validating new features and constructing a robust automation platform. Your day to day work will encompass a diverse range of tasks, including functional, exploratory, and automation testing. Our automation infrastructure powered by Cypress/TypeScript, seamlessly integrates into our continuous integration process within AWS CodePipeline. The wider tech stack involves a combination of Javascript and .Net Core, and with an extensive backlog of features in the pipeline, you will come in and contribute to enhancing our test suites and validating ongoing development. Currently operating remotely, we embrace flexibility, but we also maintain a social connection through our Sydney office, complete with perks like an open tab at the local barista! What you will be doing: • Develop and upkeep automated test scripts utilising Cypress. • Analyse business requirements and craft test cases for both new and existing website features. • Conduct functional testing of new features to ensure alignment with business requirements and technical specifications. • Perform regression testing on releases and hot fixes prior to code deployment to production. • Contribute to the automation test suite and engage in Cross Browser/End to End/Sanity testing of the website. • Detect, raise, and track defects, ensuring completion through re-testing. • Undertake website and mobile testing. • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and provide guidance on test automation techniques and best practices. • Actively participate in the Agile development process, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. Experience you have: • Minimum 2 years of testing experience. • Proficient in writing automated test cases using frameworks like Cypress or Selenium WebDriver, using programming languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, C#, or Java. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with engineers and precise bug/defect descriptions. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, find issues, and ensure their resolution. • In-depth knowledge of Functional, Regression testing, End-to-End, System testing, Cross Browser, and Exploratory testing. • Ability to own and manage the defect life cycle using tools like JIRA. • Nice to have experience with CI/CD tools like AWS CodePipeline, TeamCity, Jenkins, etc. • Familiarity with Git or other version control systems for managing test scripts and collaborating with development teams.
