Mier Recruitment is hiring! Our client in Toronto is actively looking for Procurement & QA Specialist to join their team. Title: Procurement & QA Specialist Location: Toronto, ON Job Type: Permanent Salary: $75,000/yr Job Duties: Roles and Responsibilities – INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • 1. Possess complete knowledge & understanding of the specific ingredients used in the formulation of products within food supplement industry. This includes knowledge of raw materials, additives, excipients, and other components that contribute to the product's composition. • Contact potential suppliers based on their ability to provide ingredients that meet specified quality standards. They review supplier documentation, such as certificates of analysis (COAs), verify that ingredients meet required specifications before entering into supplier agreements. • Identify potential suppliers for the goods or services needed by the organization. This involves researching, contacting, and evaluating suppliers to ensure they meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements. • Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and service level agreements. This involves understanding market dynamics,analyzing proposals, and leveraging purchasing power to achieve the best possible deals. • Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring that order for raw materials are placed accurately and in a timely manner. This involves coordinating with internal team and co-packers. • Arrange and track necessary documentations required by customers (Amazon/iHerb) and internal team for any product/ingredient such as finished product COAs, batch records, label artwork, etc. • Determine which tests are necessary based on product specifications, industry standards and regulatory requirements. Co-ordinate with lab for costing, testing results and COA issuance. • Possess clear understanding of testing needs, communicate requirements to testing labs, ensuring the correct tests are conducted. • Handle customer complaints by gathering relevant information about the complaint, including details about the product and materials/flavors involved, the nature of the problem, and any supporting evidence provided by the customer. • Proficient in Microsoft office If you meet the above qualifications, please submit your resume.
