Our client, a prominent investment bank in Hong Kong, is seeking a software engineer proficient in Core Java to join their esteemed Front Office Systems development team. This is an exciting opportunity that involves working on Front Office Trading applications, offering valuable exposure to the field of development.
Responsibilities:
• Develop new systems and enhancements on Front Office Trading, Order Management Systems, and Inventory Management.
• Work with the technical team on technical design and technical solutions review.
• Perform functional and technical design and develop high-performance using Java.
• Work closely with key stakeholders for business requirements
• Create technical and functional specifications and documentation
• Provide system operation and 3rd line support for users
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related fields
• At least 3 years of software development experience in Core Java.
• Knowledge of the Captial Market Trade Lifecycle is a great plus
• Development exposure to OOD paradigms, multithreading, concurrent, and distributed programming concepts.
• Good technical exposure to distributed systems, Spring framework, Linux, SQL/database, etc.
• Knowledge of Linux and scripting languages like bash, python, Perl
• Experience with development and build tools, ideally in Git, IntelliJ, Maven
• Experience with Bloomberg / Reuters APIs for market data and reference data.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
