• This will be remote besides traveling 1x per month to Boston. All of the data centers are local to MA, so we will need this person to travel in once per month.
Insight Global's client is looking to hire an OT Network Architect to join their team. The candidate will take ownership for the infrastructure architecture definition and ongoing evolution of a set of infrastructure requirements hardware and software patterns and solution roadmap, that in-house and outsourced teams must comply with to ensure new and upgraded services can be efficiently built to meet well defined SLA, performance and ROI targets. These requirements must facilitate cost effective service management, allowing for rapid deployment using repetitive process, lowering the risk and cost of change, enabling rapid fault isolation, appropriate volume and regression testing, dynamic hardware and bandwidth provisioning with proactive monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience developing solution architectures, platform and technology roadmaps, applying standard architectures and patterns within solution designs in a utility company.
• OT experience, Operational Telcomm
• Thorough knowledge of fiber technology and transport network infrastructure architecture
• Understanding and ability to explain the OSI Model
• Deep understanding of what Teleprotection, Telemetry, Private Fiber, fiber optic transport systems.
• Ability to review/assist with circuit migration and approach for legacy TDM
• Understanding of topics such as: IP transport, software defined networking, network routing, OT networking, Teleprotection, fiber optic transport systems, LAN network security and segmentation based on roles and policies, service management and automation, monitoring tools and QoS
• Ability to designs a secure, efficient, and adaptable future state model
