Location: Salt Lake City or Bay Area. Hybrid work model.
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced machine learning engineer with a focus on computer vision who can help us advance our ML capabilities. You will research the latest available tools, mentor the team on ML best practices, and provide directions for the engineering team. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.
• This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, in-office 2 days per week with 3 remote workdays.
• This position does not require travel.
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements).
Must-haves:
• 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, with a focus on computer vision.
• Bachelor's in computer science, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Math, or a related field
• Expertise in designing, developing, optimizing, and evaluating the performance of highly scalable and accurate computer vision applications in Python.
• Advanced knowledge in designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models at scale including experience with production ML environments such as model release, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Experience analyzing and evaluating state-of-the-art algorithms related to detection, from both academic and industrial research, and implementing and enhancing them in a production environment.
Nice-to-haves:
• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, Engineering, Math, or a related field
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure tools such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP and Kubernetes preferred)
• Experience in tuning and enhancing existing models.
• Expertise in automated model drift monitoring in a production environment
