We are looking for passionate, hardworking and experienced Network and Systems Engineer to join our team at Distimax, located in Freshwater, NSW.
The role includes:
• Review system problems internally and with users
• Suggesting improvements on detected problems.
• Install and test application software packages prior to releasing into production.
• Undertaking data erasure projects.
• Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware and software.
• Conduct maintenance of and troubleshooting network problems.
• Monitor network traffic and to ensure optimal network performance.
• Prepare and maintain a set of procedures for documentation for diagnosis, recovery and enhancements of network systems.
• Planning, timing and co-ordination of training.
• Managing vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, deploy, test and optimises network and hardware systems.
• Taking responsibility for configuration management and overall operational readiness of network systems.
• Operating systems and hardware configurationsand provides troubleshooting and fault-finding.
• Maintain and service data centre networks and hardware equipment (primarily mid to high-end networking, servers and other storage devices) of assigned accounts.
• Undertake daily administration including monitoring system performance and take remedial action.
• Test and develop hardware and solutions Provide top-notch service to ensure 100% customer loyalty.
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Relevant degree qualifications or equivalent or 5 years on the job experience in similar roles.
• Strong technical skills and strong knowledge of computer hardware.
• General field service experience preferred.
• Blanco or other data erasure software experience is an advantage.
