This Chicago-based financial-services company needs a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering team to own one line of their business. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity with 2 days required in office in Chicago, IL.
Operating out of offices based around the world, this firm serves clients to reach their financial goals. Though the company is large, their engineering presence is relatively small, so they like truly full-stack engineers who are capable of owning and overseeing a single web application. This person would spend their time working on a client portal to be used by wealth managers. You’ll have a chance to interact with clients directly to build the features that they directly need. You’ll be hands on with MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node) and expected to be comfortable working across the stack. The ideal candidate will have domain knowledge in finance.
Required Skills & Experience
• 8+ years of experience in JavaScript
• 6+ years of experience in React
• 4+ years of experience in Node + Express
• B.A. or B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Ability to work in office 2 days/wk in Chicago, IL
Desired Skills & Experience
• 1+ year of experience in a lead level role
• Experience owning or leading a full-stack web app project
• Financial domain experience
