We are looking for an IT Administrator, for our client based in Dubai. Graduates in computer science with minimum of 4+ Yrs of experience preferred.
Job Role:
Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure including servers, networks, hardware, software and website.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and updating of hardware and software. Including but not limited to (e.g., Firewalls, Routers, Switches, QoS, Wireless LAN controllers, Access points, LAN/WLAN security).
• Monitor network security and implement appropriate cybersecurity measures as per business requirements and needs.
• Provide technical support and training to staff, including workstation set-up & relevant licenses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular system audits, ensuring proper protection with the relevant firewalls, access rights and prepare sufficient backup strategies and disaster recovery protocols.
• Ensure all software is consistently up to date with current license updates and fixes.
• Collaborate with all teams to ensure there is clear and consistent communication on the IT requirements across the business.
• Manage IT inventory, including purchasing and decommissioning
• Develop and document IT policies and procedures and ensure these are consistently updated.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server operating systems, including related security, patching, monitoring, and other management/administration software applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows Desktop, Virtualization, and Office 365 Administration, including Active Directory systems.
• Sound knowledge of VLAN/LAN configuration and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of the OSI Reference Model, L2/L3 switching, VLANs, EtherChannel, DTP, VTP, CEF, basic routing, password recovery, STP, PoE, loop creation and breaking concepts, and ROMMON recovery.
• Proficiency in fundamental front-end languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as MySQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.
• Knowledge of system backups and restoration, including administration, policies, retention, rotation, and scheduling. In-depth knowledge of Apple OS, hardware, and related application systems.
• Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, MySQL, and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) strategies.
