Job Description
What is the role?
We are looking for a Development Operations Engineer who will be joining a cross functional team which provides platform and patterns to engineering teams across the technology group. We face new challenges every day and you will be part of a highly skilled team solving problems collaboratively.
What will you be doing ?
You Will Be
• Heavy focus on automation and orchestration activities within both public and private cloud environments
• Contributing to the modernization of core application platforms
• Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline DevOps processes
• Developing automated deployment processes
• Administering CI/CD processes and platforms
• Focusing on Observability coverage and opportunities
Your work should show that you are skilled in or can quickly become skilled in these areas:
• Software Engineering principles
• Demonstratable knowledge and experience in all phases of the SDLC
• AWS DevOps Engineering Experience including ECS, EC2, RDS, S3
• AWS certified candidate preferred
• Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools such as CDK/Terraform
• Solid experience with build tools (CI/CD, Maven, Bamboo)
• Experience with Java, Tomcat, Apache, Nginx,
• Containerization - Docker / Kubernetes (EKS) Exp
• Scripting languages - ideally Python and Bash
• Excellent communication & collaboration skills

• Four years’ experience in Software Development
• The ability to communicate and work with both team members and stakeholders (including senior management) on a technical and non-technical level.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate how and why a solution is correct.
• The ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of the team.
• The ability to support and guide more junior members of the team.
• A willingness to work with both familiar and new technologies to drive the right customer solution.
