Manage, operate and update databases to ensure the availability of electronic services while adhering to the controls and standards of the information security system.
• Study and evaluate new versions and additional features issued by databases in coordination with technical suppliers.
• Analyze the risks that may result from making the change in the databases and prepare a report to the direct supervisor.
• Planning and implementing the necessary improvement and development work for Oracle databases and monitoring the periodic maintenance of their components.
• Install new versions and additional features for Oracle databases.
• Supervise the backup and restore of data for Oracle databases.
• Supervise the process of transferring data from the Oracle main building database to the disaster recovery site.
• Solve problems with databases, applications, and development tools, and provide technical support to programmers.
• Ensure the application of the highest standards of security and safety in the management and operation of databases and supporting systems.
• Periodic preventive and continuous examination of the level of database performance, identification of vulnerabilities and risks related to them, and dealing with technical risks to ensure the availability of the presence of electronic services performance.
• Submit database vulnerability detection reports and work to reduce them to a minimum risk.
• Perform special audit on the database and submit penetration reports on the database.
Qualifications
• Nationality: UAE only
• University degree majoring in computer science or any related discipline.
• Practical experience of at least 4 years in the field of specialization.
• Knowledge of database design
• Familiarity with software for tuning and improving the performance of databases and systems
