Blockchain Developer with strong strong solidity & smart contract development experience is required for a growing startup on a remote basis. The startup is fast-paced and taking first steps to building a next-generation option platform for institutional users.

• You have strong Solidity & smart contract development experience (DeFi platforms in particular, Bitcoin script is a plus), and proficiency with at least one systems programming language (Java/C++/Rust/Go).

Core Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and implement secure and efficient smart contracts for the platform, and drive for innovation as part of this.
• Collaborate closely with the CTO, Senior Software Engineers and Research Analysts to shape architecture and translate it into smart contract functionalities.
• Work in tandem with the front-end developer to craft seamless end-to-end user experiences.
• Take ownership of the entire software development process, from inception to deployment and maintenance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in blockchain and smart contract development.
Required Skills
• Strong experience in smart contract development (Solidity), particularly in decentralised finance (Ethereum DeFi) applications.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience
• Fluency in blockchain / web3 technologies and protocols.
• Proficiency in a systems programming language such as C/C++/Java/Rust/Go
• Proven ability to work independently, take project ownership, and drive initiatives to completion.
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage your time and tasks within a highly distributed development team without supervision.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science / Engineering / related field, or equivalent level of technical knowledge (if self-taught, bootcamp, etc)
Desirable Skills
• Experience or interest in Bitcoin script.
• Experience auditing smart contracts or collaborating with smart contract auditing firms.
• Active participation in the blockchain ecosystem as a user
