Arobas Personnel is looking for a Cloud Architect for a contract at one of its clients located all around Canada. • Fully Remote* The 3 Super-powers Required • Super-Power 1 : Cloud experience with AWS, Azure and GCP • Super-Power 2 : Infrastructure as code experience (Terraform, etc.) • Super-Power 3 : Scripting experience (Bash, Python, …) What does your day to day look like? • Cloud Infrastructure Design: Design and architect the overall cloud infrastructure for the applications, considering scalability, reliability, and performance. • High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Implement strategies for high availability and disaster recovery to ensure uninterrupted service and data protection in case of system failures or disasters. • Security Architecture: Design and implement robust security measures to protect sensitive customer data, transactions, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. • Scalability Planning: Plan for scalability to accommodate varying levels of traffic, especially during peak times such as sales events, and ensure optimal performance. • API Design and Integration: Design and implement APIs for seamless integration with external services and third-party applications. • Cost Management: Implement cost-effective solutions and continuously monitor and optimize resource usage to ensure efficient use of cloud resources and cost control. • Automation and Orchestration: Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment processes, updates, and ensure consistency across the infrastructure. • Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring and logging systems to proactively identify and address issues, track performance metrics, and ensure the health of the commerce platform. • Collaboration with Development Teams: Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements, provide guidance on best practices, and ensure alignment with the overall cloud architecture. • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure that the infrastructures comply with relevant data protection regulations and industry standards, and establish auditing mechanisms for security and compliance monitoring. • Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation for the cloud architecture, including diagrams, configuration details, and guidelines for maintenance and troubleshooting.
