The Role
We are in search of a seasoned Operational Technology Consultant with a deep specialization in Operational Technology (OT). This role is crucial in guiding our clients along the transformative journey of integrating AI technology into their operations. As a consultant, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between traditional industrial practices and cutting-edge AI solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying and implementing AI-driven approaches that enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and unlock new possibilities in the realm of industrial operations. Your work will not only influence our clients' technological trajectory but also pave the way for innovative applications of AI in the industrial sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' Operational Technology and Production systems, identifying areas for technological enhancement.
• Assist clients to develop high level business cases for analytics and artificial intelligence initiatives with the assistance of internal AI resources.
• Lead technical pre-sales engagements with clients in particular in the mining, oil, gas, manufacturing, and food processing sectors.
• Lead system capability reviews and provide strategic recommendations for operational improvements.
• Demonstrate and explain the value of our OT data analytics and AI platform to potential customers.
• Facilitate change management processes to ensure smooth integration and adoption of new technologies.
• Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective sales strategies and proposals.
• Provide technical expertise and support during the sales process including assisting in Proof of Value (POV) engagements
• Oversee project management, including planning, risk assessments, and budgeting.
Knowledge and Technical Skills
• Deep Knowledge of Industrial Protocols: In-depth understanding of various OT communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, DNP3, EtherNet/IP, and PROFIBUS etc. Familiarity with the nuances and applications of each protocol in different industrial settings.
• Experience in consultancy for automation, SCADA, and communications networking.
• Experience with systems and technology from some of major automation vendors (e.g. Yokogawa, Siemens, Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, BOSCH etc.) specifically within technical domains such as process control systems (e.g. PLCs, DCS/ICS/SCADA systems, RTUs, HMIs, industrial protocols etc.), IIOT, IOT, telecom systems and OT IT network management
