The NETS Group is a leading payments services group, enabling digital payments for merchants, consumers and banks across the entire payments value chain.
The Group operates Singapore’s national debit scheme enabling customers of DBS Bank/POSB, HSBC, Maybank, OCBC Bank, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB to make payments using their ATM cards or mobile devices at more than 120,000 acceptance points in the country as well as online payments.
Position Summary
The Infrastructure Senior Lead Engineer will provide technical support to NETS services running on Cloud. The incumbent will be responsible for the uptime and readiness of the components that are operating on the cloud, assist in on-premises migration to Cloud, and will look at automation initiatives to reduce mundane IT operations and administrative work to improve efficiency and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be part of the IT Shared Services;’Team supporting all NETS Services running on Cloud The incumbent will also need to work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware, as well as third party solutions.
The other key responsibilities are as below:
• Develop, coordinate and administer AWS Cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployments and infrastructure as code
• Use containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker) troubleshooting and support tasks
• Proficient in implementation, management and troubleshoot AWS Technologies, Openshift Container Platform, AWS Big Data.
• Proficient in Operating Systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows
• Maintain, manage and monitor Cloud Infrastructure and resolve IT infrastructure issues
• Proactive in supporting project implementation.
• Create high-quality technical documentations.
• Provide after office hours support where required.
• On-board new Cloud technologies, challenge existing implementation in a professional and constructive manner
• Engage in Cloud security activities and comply with ITSM/ITIL methodologies for day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in AWS operations and support
• AWS certified cloud practitioner with good experience in cloud, micro-services and event driven architecture.
• Hands-on, detailed and a team player exemplifying the “can-do” attitude
• Experience in Infrastructure engineering and automation
• Good knowledge and experience of computer networking such as WAN, LAN, Network zoning, routing, network resiliency, load-balancing, firewall, VPNs, etc.
• Good knowledge and expertise in various API Gateway solutions such as AWS API Gateway, Axway API Gateway or NGNIX API Gateway.
• Good knowledge of application technology stack and application containerization
• Good knowledge and experience with Redhat Ansible Python and/or YAML
