Our client is a global leader within the martime industry. The company is headquartered in Hong Kong with a global reach and intenational teams across Hong Kong, Asia and rest of the world. It is now looking for a Technical Lead to join its central IT group.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a team of software developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
• Assign tasks and ensure project goals and timelines are aligned amongst team members
• Conduct regular code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices
• Improve the software development process and promoting collaboration within the team
• Collaborate with project managers, product team, creative team, and QA, to define and prioritise software development projects
• Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders
• Participate in technical discussions and decision-making, representing the team, and providing technical guidance
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing within the team
• Provide technical leadership and support in resolving technical challenges and issues
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related disciplines
• Minimum 8 years' experience in software engineering and development
• 3+ years’ experience of leading software engineers
• Hands-on experience in a Software Engineering role working with JavaScript, Node and/or Java
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions while working under pressure
• Experience working with React, Serverless, ELK Stack, AWS and/or Docker.
• Experience in design of databases such as Postgres, Oracle, MariaDB
