Job Title: DevOps Engineer
The Company: A multinational tech services and digital transformation business.
Contract Length: 6 months, with likely extension.
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: London – 2 days onsite.
Mercury Hampton are partnering with a well-known innovative player in the telecommunication industry. We are currently seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer on an initial 6-month contract - This role will involve working as part of a team with a Local Government project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process.
• Maintain and enhance infrastructure as code (IaC) for efficient and scalable environments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise system performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer working with government authorities.
• Strong background in Azure based projects.
• Strong expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
• Experience with containerisation tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles.
