Location: Mississauga, Ontario - Hybrid Pay: $45/hr Duration: 11 month contract We are partnering with a major retail corporation to hire on a QA Analyst to be responsible for testing various systems and applications that support the Finance Tech domain. Role Description: • The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Engineering, and cross-functional leads to deliver a wide range of projects. • QA will be responsible for developing test plans, executing tests, documenting, and reporting on test results, and managing resolution with cross functional stakeholders. • The areas of responsibility will be finance data-heavy and relies on a wide range of data sources, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable doing data analysis, data mapping, and troubleshooting. • The candidate must be comfortable operating on their own; be able to prepare test cases; and execute them in a timely manner for the overall success of a project. • The candidate must be able to navigate through dependencies and teams to be able to troubleshoot issues and work with engineers to develop fixes. • Support testing of initiatives originated by other domains as needed. Responsibilities: • The QA Analyst will work with key stakeholders to define and analyze test requirements to make sure gaps are identified and resolved. • The QA Analyst will advocate for areas of improvement both from a system point of view as well as process improvements. • Coordinate with functional subject matter experts and/or other internal professionals to define detailed requirements, analyze business needs and validate solutions with users. • Document and report test results while managing issues to resolution. • Create/assist in developing test strategies/plans. • Execute test cases, analyze the results, determine usability, and report observations to the project team. Must Haves: • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and prior experience on wide range of testing. • Programming skills in the areas of data extraction and transformation (SQL, Big Query, Python) • Advanced knowledge of Excel • Demonstrated hands-on knowledge of data extraction, transformation, data management, and data governance. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, accounting, or business. • 3-5 years prior experience automating tests for financial systems. • Have prior experience testing financial systems such as SAP. • Proficiency in troubleshooting data-related issues and identifying root causes. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
