• Chapter Lead Product Owner • 12-24 month fixed-term contract • Sydney / hybrid • Enterprise Agility PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Chapter Lead Product Owner is responsible for advancing and sustaining the professional proficiency of Product Ownership within the Continuous Improvement Tribe. This role ensures alignment of the Tribe Backlog with the Tribe's mission, delivering incremental improvements to our client's customers across all schemes. The Chapter Lead contributes to the cultural shift towards agility by practicing mature Agile methodologies, collaborating with delivery Squads and Product Owners, and fostering understanding of the agility way of working. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Set standards for our client's Product Owner capability, leading development through Community of Practice initiatives. • Define and manage the product vision and strategy at the Tribe level, collaborating with Customer Journey teams. • Lead the development of detailed product feature specifications and test adherence to the Tribe Definition of Done during Showcase events. • Prioritize and refine the Tribe level backlog, making decisions on sprint or release inclusions based on customer and business value. • Establish a prioritization approach balancing customer value with business dimensions of Risk and Governance. • Collaborate with Product Owners to streamline backlogs, contribute to efficient resource use, and facilitate collaboration practices across business lines. • Act as a Practitioner Product Owner when needed to support Product Owner capacity across the organisation during workforce interruptions. CAPABILITY PROFILE: Demonstrates high proficiency in leading others, emphasizing the creation of purpose, collaboration, complexity management, digital acceleration, value-driven decision-making, accountability, people development, and change leadership. Qualification & Skills: • Minimum 7 years as a Product Owner in organizations with mature Agile practices. • Tertiary qualification and industry certifications in Product Ownership. • Customer-centric thinker with problem-solving skills in complex environments. • Well-developed Emotional Intelligence and commercial acumen. • Driven for results, positive agitator for change, and continuous improvement. Desirable: • Proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). • Leadership experience in collaborative cross-functional teams. • Past roles as a Scrum Master or Customer Experience practitioner.
