Educational AI Developer/Assistant Educational AI Developer (at the rank of IT Manager/IT Officer) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 524431) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance) Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information System, or other related disciplines with 3 years’ practical experience or postgraduate training in AI development, preferably in one or more of the following areas: Large Language Model (LLM), chatbots, natural language processing system, and machine learning algorithms. They should have a strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal skills, and excellent problem-solving skills. They should be able to break down complex issues into manageable tasks, and to keep their subordinates motivated to deliver quality work under tight deadlines. They should be familiar with full stack development, ideally with proficiency in some of the followings: Python, TenorFlow, PyTorch, Rails, React, TypeScript, GraphQL and Postgres. A good understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, AliCloud, Tencent Cloud and Google Cloud is preferred. Experience in project management would be an advantage. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment at the rank of IT Officer. The appointee will assist in developing new Generative AI infrastructure and software applications for advanced pedagogical purposes. He/She will be expected to drive continuous improvement, and explore new technologies and methodologies to enhance our IT landscape.
