• Be an instrumental part in our engagement with Corporate, External Public Affairs, Policy and ESG engagement • Lead the continual development of our Group-wide communications strategy • Partner closely with our Executives and senior leaders across all markets Write your story with Zip In this unique opportunity as our Director of External Relations and Group Communications, you will oversee and support strategies and activities relating to Corporate, External Public Affairs, Policy and ESG engagement. Reporting to our Group CEO you will lead and manage a variety of initiatives which will manage our Group narrative and reputation management while ensuring our communications strategy is aligned, integrated and executed in line with local and Group wide business requirements. You will also manage media engagement and relationships while also supporting regulatory affairs and public policy communications. Central to this role will be a proven ability to work proactively demonstrating creativity and initiative, with skills in impactful communications across internal and external colleagues and stakeholders. What You Will Do • Lead the development and delivery of the Group's strategy to continually enhance our company reputation • Partner with executive leaders on shaping organisation-wide communications strategy and its execution across ANZ and US stakeholders • Lead our communication plan and execution including for ASX-related announcements, financial calendar events, regulatory developments, initiatives and PR activity • Lead the continual development of a Group-wide communications to ensure Zip's position and points of difference are well understood by key stakeholders • Partner with the Investor Relations team on our communications and stakeholder strategy to support Zip's ESG plan and initiatives • Proactively build and maintain relationships with key media groups including being a spokesperson as required • Support leaders with external communications and speaking requirements to a variety of stakeholders as required What You’ll Bring To The Team • Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. • 13+ years of experience in external relations, public affairs, or corporate communications - ASX listed experience expected. • Proven track record of developing and implementing highly successful communication strategies. • Exceptional leadership and team management / collaboration skills. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills - including being hands on and comfortable working at pace • Highly developed interpersonal, and communication skills to persuade, influence and respond to a range of stakeholders. • Expertise in navigating complex and dynamic environments. • Experience in crisis management and strategic issue advocacy. • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders • Our values in your DNA: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game What You’ll Get In Return Zip is a place where you’ll get out what you put in.
